This program enables the future Nurses to experience and learn more about psychiatric patients and gives them a strong foundation to assist them in pursuing a Nursing care that specializes in Psychiatry. As part of the on-going educational process, the Nursing Department provides weekly in-services that include some of the following: We also hire student nurses who are interested in psychiatric nursing as Mental Health workers. This enables them to experience and learn more about psychiatric patients and gives them a strong foundation to assist them in pursuing a career in psychiatric nursing.
